Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time, as long as you do not downgrade while having an active subscription.

To choose a new plan, simply go to settings, at the top right corner of the page > Manage subscriptions > Subscription and click on Choose Plan:


Is there a monthly limit on the documents I can issue? How is it calculated?

The monthly limit on documents is counted every 30 days, starting the count of the 30 days with the beginning of the billing cycle.


I have used all the documents. What now?

To continue issuing documents, just renew your plan, or choose a new plan suited to your billing needs. Just go to settings in the top right corner of the page > Manage subscriptions > Subscription and click on Choose Plan:


  • If you have a semi-annual, annual, or biennial subscription and the number of documents is exhausted in a given month:

    The number of documents will be automatically renewed on the date indicated as “Next Cycle.” If you need to issue new documents before the date of the next cycle, you may choose to change your plan.


  • If you have a monthly subscription and the number of documents is exhausted before the next subscription renewal:

    You may choose to immediately renew the subscription by selecting the same plan.


I want to change my plan, but I still have available credit. What should I do? What happens to my credit?

The available credit will be deducted from the amount payable for the new plan.


What is the renewal cycle and how does it work?


In very simple terms, the Renewal Cycle is the period for which you subscribe to the InvoiceXpress billing software.


As a Software As A Service, InvoiceXpress operates through a subscription model. The customer subscribes to access and use our online billing program for a certain period of time.


Currently, there are four renewal cycles in InvoiceXpress (available depending on the plan you choose):

  • Monthly
  • Semi-annual
  • Annual
  • Biennial

At the end of this period, a renewal of our service will be necessary, hence the term Renewal Cycle.


It is important to emphasize that the longer your Renewal Cycle, the more advantages (discounts) you will have.


When does my Renewal Cycle start with InvoiceXpress?

The Renewal Cycle for an InvoiceXpress customer begins with the first subscription to our certified billing software.


Let’s take a practical example: after the free trial period of InvoiceXpress, a customer subscribes to a paid plan of our service on September 1, 2025. The subscription start date will be September 1, 2025, and the end of the subscription will be:

  • On October 1, 2025, in a monthly renewal cycle
  • On March 1, 2026, in a semi-annual renewal cycle
  • On September 1, 2026, in an annual renewal cycle
  • On September 1, 2027, in a biennial renewal cycle

In the current subscription, any client can initiate a new Renewal Cycle in InvoiceXpress either manually or automatically (for Credit Card and Direct Debit payment methods).


How does my Renewal Cycle work when I change my plan in InvoiceXpress?

Very simple: you can keep the same Renewal Cycle or choose a higher Renewal Cycle from the new plan, but never a lower one.


When changing the plan of your InvoiceXpress subscription, with all the advantages or disadvantages that this change will entail (more or fewer documents and/or features), you can maintain or increase your Renewal Cycle (the larger the Renewal Cycle, the bigger the discount you can benefit from).


Let's look at two distinct practical examples:

1️⃣ The client started their InvoiceXpress subscription on February 1, 2025, with an annual Renewal Cycle, and decides to upgrade to a higher plan with the same Renewal Cycle on July 1, 2025.

The subscription started on February 1, the date of the change to the new plan will be on July 1, and with the same annual Renewal Cycle, the end of the subscription remains February 1, 2026.


2️⃣ Customer started their InvoiceXpress subscription on February 1, 2025, with an annual Renewal Cycle, and decides to upgrade to a higher plan and a biennial Renewal Cycle on July 1, 2025.

The subscription start date was February 1, the date of the switch to the new plan will be on July 1, and with the biennial Renewal Cycle, the subscription end will be February 1, 2027.

Whenever there is a change of plan in InvoiceXpress, there will be a credit calculation - the amount paid at the beginning of the subscription that has not yet been consumed by the user. In a scenario of an upgrade in plan, this amount will be deducted from the new subscription, and in a downgrade scenario, this amount will remain as credit in the account.


Can I change my Renewal Cycle during my current subscription without changing my plan?

Yes, you can always change to a higher Renewal Cycle (never to a lower one) during your current subscription, even while keeping and not changing your plan in InvoiceXpress.

Whenever this happens, there will be a credit calculation - the amount paid at the beginning of the subscription that has not yet been consumed by the user.


This amount will then be deducted from the value of the new Renewal Cycle.
