Received an error when registering the sequence?

⚠️ Error message: "An error occurred in the registration process of this sequence. Please try again."


If the connection with the AT is active, but you continue to receive this error message when trying to register a sequence, it may be due to two reasons:

  • AT server unavailable

The Tax Authority server may be temporarily unavailable and not accepting communications. In this case, you may choose to wait a few hours and try again.

However, when there is a general constraint in communications with the AT web service (if it affects all accounts), InvoiceXpress will present an alert in our help center (icon ? in the bottom right corner of the page).


  • Invalid data in user credentials

Although the connection with the AT is shown as active, the error in registering the sequence may be related to some incorrect or invalid data in the user credentials.

In these cases, we recommend creating a new user in the Finance Portal and adding that data to your InvoiceXpress account.

⚠️ Error message: "An error occurred in the registration process of this sequence. Please try again. The NIF associated with this account has no open activity."


If you opened activity recently, it is possible that the process is not yet fully updated on the Tax Authority's side. For this reason, the registration of the sequence may not be successfully completed, as the AT does not yet recognize that the activity is open.

In these situations, we recommend waiting a few days and trying to register the sequence again, allowing the AT to complete the process update and accept the sequence registration.

⚠️ Error message: "The registration of one or more sequence failed. It was not possible to register because there is already a sequence registered with the same name at the Tax Authority."


This error means that you already have a sequence created and registered in your Finance Portal with the same name as the sequence you are now trying to create.

In this situation, it will not be possible to register the sequence through InvoiceXpress, nor to obtain the ATCUD codes for each type of document of that sequence.

The solution is to create and use a new sequence, with a different name from the sequence that is already registered in your finance portal.
